Who we are

Notify Both is an Android app made by Controllerbyte. This policy explains what the app and this website do with your information. If you have any questions, contact us at our email address.

Notification access

To work, the app needs notification access. It uses this access only to notice when a notification makes a sound, and then plays that same sound on your phone speaker, your Bluetooth headset, or both. The app looks at the notification's sound settings and the name of the app that sent it. It does not read, save or send the text of your messages or notifications.

On HyperOS, the phone shows a red "Danger" warning when you allow notification access. This warning appears for every app that uses notification access and describes everything that access could allow. It does not mean that Notify Both does those things.

Data stored on your phone

The app saves your settings (for example, where sounds should play) on your phone. If you turn on the optional log, it keeps a short list of recent events, such as which app's notification sound was played, on your phone only. You can clear the log at any time, and uninstalling the app removes everything.

Sending us the log

If you have a problem, you can tap "Email log" in the app. This opens your own email app with the log, the app's setup status and your phone model filled in. Nothing is sent until you review the email and send it yourself. We use what you send only to help you with your problem, and we do not share it with anyone.

Purchases

The app is free to try for 7 days and can then be unlocked with a one-time purchase through Google Play. Payments are handled entirely by Google. We never see your payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether your account has bought the app. Google's privacy policy applies to purchases: policies.google.com/privacy.

Internet use

The app connects to the internet only through Google Play, to check whether the app has been bought and to complete a purchase. It does not connect to any server of ours or of anyone else.

What the app does not do

• No account or sign-in.
• No advertising and no ad tracking.
• No analytics.
• No personal data is sent to us or to anyone else.
• We do not sell or share any data.

Google Analytics, only with your consent. When you first visit, the site asks whether you allow analytics. Only if you click Accept does it load Google Analytics, which sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to count visits. It tells us which pages are viewed, how visitors found the site, their approximate country and city, and their type of device and browser. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Google signals and all advertising features are turned off. Google processes this data for us and keeps it for up to 14 months. Google may process it outside the EU under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

If you click Decline, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Your choice itself is saved in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.

Server logs. Like every web server, ours records basic request details (IP address, page, time and browser) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to identify visitors or share them with anyone.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Your rights

Because the app does not collect personal data, we hold no data about you from the app. Website analytics data is linked only to a random ID in a cookie, not to your name or email, and you can withdraw consent at any time with Cookie settings. If you send us an email, you can ask us at any time to delete it, and we will.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
